Picture above: The main kitchen at the HoS. How many chefs can you find?As the smog in Beijing returns the activity in the kitchen at the House of Switzerland (HoS) is definitely on the up! The restaurants and bars are still to take shape but with all the staff and students pulling long shifts the HoS will be ready and to open to the public on 1st August. The kitchen however is constantly busy with menus being tasted and tested before Beijingers poor in to the restaurants looking for a 'taste of Switzerland', that's the culinary theme by the way.
All the IMI students are on top of their game and in the forthcoming days I will bring you all their stories and comments. Let me know if you have any questions for our students or just want to say hello.
Fascinating fact for today: Heidi Klum (Germany's top model) is in the HoS tomorrow and IMI's Service lecturer, Mr Michael Hyvärinen thinks his Mandarin will impress her...stick with the English Michael and watch out for aggressive seals!
Weather in Beijing today: If my arm is outstretched I can just see my hand!
