Day 17 - Wednesday 13th August - what a day in House of Switzerland

Switzerland today won a total of 3 Olympic medals. This is really fantastic and of course we at the House of Switzerland celebrated this in style. This however means a lot of work for our hard-working students.

Fascination fact for today: 3 Olympic medals for Switzerland in ONE single day. This has never happened before. Swiss medals for Fabian Canchellara (Gold), Karin Thörig (Bronze) and Sergei Aschwanden (Bronze) and all celebrated at the place to be, the House of Switzerland.

Weather in Beijing today: Muggy and hot.

Now it is time for me to go to bed and dream for another fantastic day in Beijing.

It's fantastic! Thanks for the pictures Hans Jost. I'm really proud of the Swiss olympic team. I've seen in the TV tonight the parties in the home towns of the athletics, they are of sure not less joyful than in Bejing.
Kind regards from Lake lucerne with wonderful air and agreeable 20°.

Thank you Gavin. I will tell the Swiss athletes to continue in this way.Yesterday Great Britain did play against Netherlande but I was not watching this match because my task was in HoS. Everything else later.

I believe you Elsbeth, it's always a big moment for the athletes to celebrate the medal party in the Olympia village. The pressure is gone and they feel free.
